FAQ

Common questions

Are you a manufacturer?

No. Sofiyya Resources is a sourcing and trade facilitation company. We work with a network of verified Malaysian manufacturers and represent your interests. You get the right supplier, the right price and a smooth shipment.

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

It depends on the product. For most categories, the starting point is one 20-foot container (FCL). For food and household products we can often combine several products in one container, and we can quote LCL for trial orders.

What payment terms do you accept?

We require 100% payment by Telegraphic Transfer (TT) to the Sofiyya Resources company account before goods are released from the factory. For made-to-order goods where the manufacturer requires a production deposit, the same deposit applies to your order, and the balance is due before release. You, or an inspection company you appoint (for example SGS), are welcome to inspect the goods at the factory before you pay. Our banking details appear only on our official proforma invoice. Always confirm them with us by phone before paying.

Can I get samples first?

Yes. We arrange samples from shortlisted suppliers. Sample and courier costs are usually paid by the buyer and credited against the first order where possible.

Are your food products halal-certified?

Many of our partner manufacturers hold JAKIM halal certification, and we can supply certificates with each shipment. Let us know if you need any other certification, such as HACCP, ISO 22000, FDA registration or a health certificate.

Which Incoterms do you quote?

Our standard basis is EXW (ex-works): you collect the goods from the factory. If you need logistics support, we deliver to the Malaysian port of loading (FCA or FOB Port Klang, Penang or Pasir Gudang) and handle export customs clearance. Ocean freight from Malaysia is arranged by your nominated forwarder.

Do you trade commodities?

Yes. Besides our core sectors we trade commodities such as palm oil products, natural rubber, cocoa and other agricultural and mineral commodities, subject to Malaysian export rules. Send us your specification, quantity and delivery schedule.

How do you ensure quality?

We verify each supplier's licences and certifications. We match products against your approved specification and samples, and we can arrange independent pre-shipment inspection (for example, by SGS or Intertek) before loading.

Tell us what you need to source.

Send your specification. We will reply with verified Malaysian supplier options.
